I've never been put off by the temperature, that can be compensated for with decent clothing. The only thing that can stop me cycling is gale force winds.

I don't think it was sub-zero here this morning but the cars sure looked well iced up as I pushed the kids out of the door for the 2.5 mile cycle school run! They don't moan much

I hope you aren't in a cold area. Cycling in the cold with bare knees is a bad idea, not good for the joint.

-2 Isn't cold. Try minus 15 and a foot of snow. That was great fun in January 2010, and almost as cold in December 2010. It's too mild this year, and the trans pennine is a quagmire !

Get the right kit, and dress for the weather. Nothing called bad weather, its bad preparation. Even nasty ice can be dealt with using the correct tyre !
