Harewood Leeds 26.4.15

Came across a chap who looked in a bad way who was with a group from Driglington BC. Ambulance was on scene at A61 nr Harewood House. Felt crap riding off but felt worse loitering when plenty of help on hand from his group. Can only say prayer and Hope he wasn't too bad - best wishes to all at Drighlington BC and hopefully a full and speedy recovery to your chap

I didn't see this happpen but came across this just after it happened, before the ambulance arrived and been thinking about this guy all week since.

I was coming up Harewood Hill and thought the queing traffic was for some event at Harewood House. I came across this injured cyclist two thirds of the way up the hill.

I didn't hang around long either, felt really bad not getting involved but he was being tended to well and I heard one of the cyclists say the ambulance had been called.

Shook me up badly, I pushed my bike the rest of the way up the hill and it certainly made me take real care for the rest of my Sunday morning ride. The ambulance passed me heading to the scene 5 minutes after I left.

Can only wish the guy well and as above hope he makes a full and speedy recovery.

Still keep thinking of this poor chap and was hoping to be able to find out how he is doing.
