Harvey Norman's sell a helmet + Camera option

I was in the local electrical superstore called Harvy Normans (Not sure if they are in the UK) They sell the usual TV's Fridges, laptops etc.

My local store has a good range of photographic equipment as the manager is a well known photographer.

They are now selling this combo :

So are other kinds mounted more 'directly' to the helmet? That's how I always imagined them being.

Gopro cams are not exclusively designed for cycling. They are used for many applications, skiing, canoeing, sky diving etc., they come with various methods of attachment, such as chest straps, head straps, helmet mounts, Cylce mounts and so on. I saw a guy on Sunday running the London Marathon with a Go Pro strapped to his head.

That's a lot more like what I'd imagined. I don't think I've seen any in the wild yet, hence my naivety.
