Has anybody watched Damages

My mate banged on and on about the first season.

Picked it up for £18 last week. Finished it last night.

I thought it was pretty good but not nearly as good as he was making out.

The story was good hence the fact that me and MrsG watched it all in a few nights but I just felt it was missing that spark that The West Wing, The Sopranos and 24 have.

The analogy I would use is it was like a really well made soup that just lacked a bit of seasoning.

I watched the first series religiously and found it absolutely gripping, although I haven't seen the others of this genre which you mention so have nothing directly to compare it with.

I'm sticking with the current series although it seems a bit lacklustre at present.

Watched about half way through first series then got bored and gave up. Was OK but BBCs time slot of 11:15 Sunday nights didn't help.

My wife loves it. It leaves me cold tbh. I think it not having many strong male leads in it is part of the reason.
