Yep....no need for fancy stuff. Meat for some protein and some tatties and veg. Although, if you want a quick fix, some people swear by chocolate milk. Same idea, nice mix of carb/protein/fat.A proper balanced meal
If it's a morning ride, my favourite is to ride on an empty stomach if I'm not going too far and then have a mahoosive plate of cereal with lots of milk. Always hits the spot.
Although the medication I take help me put on weight and health issues mean I don't always get out as often as I'd like. High intensity work is definitely out.
so now I'm half a stone heavier than when I started
