Has anyone turned their heating off yet?

Lovely and warm here in the shires. A balmy 12c by day and 5c by night, but the heating still comes on, with the thermostat guarded by MrsPete! (A force to be reckoned with when it comes to thermostats, I can tell you!!)

No, but it's not been on. And apart from the odd night, trying to keep the noise out, the windows have been open.

Even in Cyprus we still have the heating on when sitting indoors. It's warmer outside the buildings!

For some reason Mr Summerdays has the heating on at night recently and I don't think it's helping with my sleep! But it's definitely not warm enough to do without in the evening....

Underfloor heating here, so it tends to be turned down rather than off.

I live on the east coast of Scotland. Don't usually switch the heating off until May. But sometimes have to turn it back on again in June.

I never have the heating on at night and I have turned it down in the last couple of days. Spring is on it's way.

He's agreed to change it.... I think it was because of having the baby quails in the house but we need to start preparing them to go outside!

Still on but thermostat set to 16 so not on very often , and if you are cold go and put another layer on is our motto

Not turned it off yet, but the thermostat is ensuring it doesn't kick in as much.

I have turned the radiator down at work, with the lady I sit next to being off for a few days, as she has it turned up to furnace setting at all times, due to being a bit nesh!

I imagine she will want to know who's been messing with it when she returns on wednesday as she guards that radiator and the window with her life!

No way, the thermostat is set at 22 and the boiler is often going at full pelt. I live with two females, both of whom can sense a 1 degree reduction on the thermostat from another floor, like Yoda sensing a disturbance in the force.

Dad here pays the bill, of course.

Since having quite a lot of work done at the back of the house our thermostat is now 3 degrees less than it used to be and still feels warmer. It shows what a difference proper insulation can make. Not only that I reckon the savings on energy will almost pay for the extension in a mere 4.3 billion years.

Off during the day but on at 18degrees in the evening until 11pm.

It's a battle i love warmth,Mrs Postman loves cold.I am told to wear a jumper,sometimes i put on my fleece coat.

Mine has only ever been put on when it's felt cold, I don't think it's been on for the last week, barring perhaps a quick blast to shift a chill throughout the house. Generally it's never left on except for the coldest of days.
