I got the best present ever. Eight or so years ago I collected Boo from Uni. She'd had breakdown and was in bits. She came home and didn't leave the house for months. Our confident outgoing intelligent gorgeous daughter disappeared.

Last night I sat in a bar in Vancouver where, post an OU Degree, she has started her life over, having come out here on her own. There she surrounded by new friends, having taken us on a tour of some of the city sights, and one says to tlh and me "You must be so proud to have raised such a confident and independent woman."

Thank you Santa. Thank you God. Thank you universe.

Wonderful.

No presents today, my parents don't really go in for that.

Got a lovely leather and sheepskin flight jacket from my other half a few weeks back from my girlfriend, so I'd say that overall, I've done well.

Nothing here as we decided to skip the presents thing this year; will be getting ourselves a Quince and Fig trees next spring though.

Also other half has a stinking cold and cough so no real eating or drinking either.

Did get out for a cheeky 50k ride though.

zonked out after dinner , hopefully tomorrow i shall ride if i get any sleep tonight .

Haha, it is actually by a local artist. My mate Jake who is an artist of the liquid kind. He did it in ms paint and is a rather good likeness.

Last present bought or received was 2004, perfectly happy with that. I might buy my Mac some upgrades in the sales though... Last year's 'present' was lovely, but as most of you know that got taken back. The only gift I wished for is that she's well, safe and happy.
