Londons fireworks?

I thought they were very impressive, especially with the Prodigys "Firestarter" in the background.

Cant help think the cash could have been put to a better use though.

I live almost on the beach...was referring to the almost total lack of fireworks here this year..bad weather...financial ..most likely reasons I suppose.

we watched via tv and they looked stunning , i hate to geuss how much was spent !

the wellingborough fire work displays through our bedroom window were much poorer than normal with very few chinese lanterns visable due to clouds

Absolutely stunning display. I'm the first to attack wasteful spending of public money, but not even I would begrudge a fraction of a penny per person for the delight that display brought to millions of people.

That was very impressive and seemed to be much better choreographed than the display I saw in Guangzhou for the Asian games in November 2010 and they were reputed to have cost US$ 53 milion.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I stopped being impressed by nice sparkly lights going bang when I was about 8 or possibly younger. Firework display chaps must piss their pants with excitement when they are approached by loonies with wads of cash to waste so that a few other loonies will be impressed for a few minutes...I wonder if the same loonies are the ones who complain about scroungers living off the state, or public service pensions? Most likely...
