Has Wiggo's fall changed some drivers?

Having such a high profile name related to a cycling related accident might well have made a few drivers more aware of cyclists,at least in my area anyway. This may just be a coincidence but i'm not so sure.Since Wiggo and Shane Sutton had their accidents i have noticed drivers are a lot more cautious and considerate of me on my commute. My commute is 7 1//2 miles each way and its all rural, ideallic i hear you say but i have to contend with the hurrah henry brigade in their Audi's and 4x4's driving at breakneck speeds through the lanes with no thought of what could be round the next bend.I've had some close passes at speed in the past .However now my commute is a delight,if i'm approaching a bend i find drivers wait behind me until we are clear of the bend,if a car is oncoming they no longer try to squeeze themelves between the oncoming car and myself,i think you get the point.Has anyone else noticed a difference?

No difference here. Most people are tolerant and easy going, but the same small percentage of idiots remain.

We'll always have the percentage of idiots unfortunatly but if even a few peoples attitudes change then at least that reduces the risk of someone getting hurt.Where are you from mate?
