Hat recommendation.

I bought a new hat a couple of weeks ago. Its a goretex shell cap with ear flaps.

Today was my first chance to test it in proper rain. I looked like Elmer Fudd, but my hair (which I tucked up inside in a little bun) was bone dry, and not at all sweaty.

Highly recommended for those of you with hair.

It's like this, I got mine for £15 from Mountain Warehouse. You can get it with a fleecy lining too, but mines just a shell.

No, but there are some funny little loops at the end of each ear flap. I'm not sure what they're for but OH suggested threading my earrings through (I always have a pair of danglers) to help prevent hat loss in high winds.

Ah, they're for tying the string through, though earrings might work.

True. I haven't shown it to son yet. He's still recovering from the shock of a pair of shoes I purchase recently - They're the comfiest shoe's ever, but he say's they're shameful and is still trying to work out how he'll explain my horrific shoes to his friends if he's seen out with me when I'm wearing them.

No chance of embarassing my little boy. I bought this cycling cap online - pictured below. When it arrived i was wondering if i dare wear it outside. All doubts were dismissed when he, 4 years-old, first saw it, "Giantcool cap, pappa!".
