My daily commute is usually 35 miles round trip 4 days a week.
Friday's used to be daddy day with jnr.
He started school this week which means I will be going back to work on a friday and adding another days commute to my total.

We're expecting 12,000 miles from you then next year

Ive done another 3 days this week and the climb home is getting easier. Although it was a tad fresh this morning so the gillet came out on the descent

The best trick I found was not to have complete rest days (ie, getting the bus) but to have really slow days. In the end the time difference is nothing compared to pushing a bit more, it keeps the legs moving and keeps the motivation up knowing I cycled everyday of the week. The trouble comes in when it gets windy and it's tricky to get the easy days!
