Nearly drowning off the coast of Cornwall when I was about twenty five.
I can empathise with that.

Nearly drowning after capsizing a canoe under a fast flowing weir. I got stuck in the torrent and couldn't get away from it, like being in a washing machine... I felt myself 'go', only to pop out of the water about 50 yards away. Spent the next few days coughing the river Lune out of my lungs.

As to Scary, you want to see my ex or her mum without their concretia on. 🤢. Luckily they looked alright whilst I was married to it.

Had it's own railway as well, according to that website nearly 3000 patients. Surely one of them could have survived into the afterlife?

Indeed, it was a branch off the preston to longridge line part of a bridge is still present on a lane i use

I think Menston Hospital, is now flats, as is Stanley Royd at Pinderfields in Wakefield, if anywhere was to have a ghost or two, they would seem to be prime candidates in my book

So are most old institutions . The two East Yorkshire ones Broadgates hospital is levelled and is now housing estate, some of the old staff cottages are still there. De le Pole hospital still has a secure Mental health facility on site as well as the trusts HQ the rest of the site is a gym and other businesses.

Aside from the coffee machine, and all the naughty cyclists, here, I'd like to start a thread about haunting experiences. I've had a few of them, but don't know where to start the thread

Off we go:-

I was once stuck in a cave for 12 hours that was quite memorable...

Or the time my dad and I brought a car and he drove it away only to find the wheels weren't full tightened up.

Which cave , and dare I ask injured, or trapped by high water or whatever?

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
A friend of mine was on a training course near Crewe or Chester (I think). He was staying in a hotel building obviously converted from other use with a rather institutional feel.

Talking to a local he explained where he was staying and they said "ah, the old clap clinic"
