I like the plastic notes and can't understand why we have put up with paper for so long. You can leave them in all kinds of pockets, wash your clothes then get a nice surprise when you next wear them.

Do you not get out much?
No because most of my money are in bank card and since that day i lost £25 in cash i don't keep any more then £10 and i was only getting milk. i had no coins at the time.

When are they changing the £1 note ?
We don't have £1 notes we're not American.

I was asking as i've never seen a £5 note with the Clysdale bank written on it etc....

So you've not bought milk since 1951?!
I wouldn't have been born then.

I have bought milk before hand. I was born in 1999. In 3 different countries till 2010. Like that's when we moved to England,

i know it changed from

Two different issuers, hence the difference.

Ah, well, if you had asked about Scottish £5 notes you might have got different answers! :okay:

(If your info said that you were somewhere in Scotland it would have been a reasonable guess, but maybe not for Berkshire?)

looks like your neighbours have some scottish relatives visiting, Clydesdale bank notes are very common up here.

The Clydesdale Bank has been issuing its own banknotes for 170 years but if you live in England it's no surprise you haven't seen one.

All Scottish banknotes are legal currency throughout the UK (they are approved by the UK parliament) so can be accepted for any transaction, it's up to the parties involved.
A retailer might not like to take it from you but any bank will.
