I've been in plaster for 3 days, and only got back out on the bike today...:girl:

Proof...and yes, I know I'm on the pavement, but I had only just got on when that pic was taken. Once I was happy it was ok, then I went on the road.

After that, I got out the mtb, and went off for a ride on that..
Tomorrow it'll be the Bianchi...

I think I win the bet, large plastering lady who said that I couldn't ride with this on...hahahaha!

Nothing's gonna keep this Kitty down!;):biggrin:

Well done lass, but be careful.

In 1997 I broke my heel, fell of a ladder, and spent eight weeks on crutches. A week after I broke it I was on the turbo trainer, three weeks later I was strapping my crutches to the crossbar with some spare saddle bag straps and riding out with a local touring club.

I do wonder if doctors know how quickly some cyclists will try to get back on a bike... I checked with multiple docs and they all seemed to say it was OK whenever I felt up to getting back on the bike. So I did within a week of breaking my arm.

Separate question - is that a Howies merino top - if so I have the same one... though I can't see the logo.

I broke my arm in around 1995/6 and went on a bike the next day (I had to catch a ferry to the Mainland at the time to go to hospital, so it was dark by the time I got back and I had no lights), asked the doctor if I could ride a bike "No, not until the plaster is off. You won't be able to anyway." But my arm healed fine and I even had the plaster taken off earlier than it should have been. So either my "cycling physiotherapy" worked or I was just lucky!

Well done:biggrin:, and be careful. Ask Wafflycat about people who put themselves back in plaster the minute they are out of it....

Just one more question. I presume you'll be decorating and displaying your pumpkins on Halloween for all the trick or treaters to admire?
