So good, we've only had VW in nearly 20 years. So good, we've only had Nissan or Toyota in 30 years.
The same VW.
And it was second hand when we bought it.

What weird names to give your children....
Knock a nought off for my latest car I bought three years ago.......best £150 I have ever spent£1500 max is all I spend on a car now and that's pushing it. My '99 Astra was bought for £1050 three years ago (One owner from new, FSH) and I've almost doubled the 63k on the clock, there are still eight months MoT left on it.
Look round and you can get some cracking motors for little money.
You need one of these Fiats. Wonder why it never made production?

I was once told a want is a need and a need is a want. It's baffled me ever since because I can't seem to disagree with that.Maybe she wants (rather than needs) a new car and this is a good time to change rather than spending money on the old one (just like the OP wants, rather than needs a new bike)
You want one of these (shameless plug for my car that's not even on sale yet):

2006 Aero in Lime Yellow for 3 biggies plus a bit
That'd leave some left for a bike.
Does the colour of your new car match the bike?Update - feel obliged as I am the OP. Got a new car (2009 Golf, quite nice actually) so missus is happy but more importantly, this arrived yesterday. full ultegra and only £750 through Cyclescheme.
Here's me doing what @Smokin Joe is on about (Snetterton)
If you've not done it you wouldn't understand.

Back to the OP, I'm in a similar position actually hence my earlier post regarding PCP and owning nothing after 2 or 3 years paying relatively high monthly costs.
Our car is an 11 year old Citroen xsara Picasso worth probably £500 with 110000 miles and the usual door dents and scratches. So weighing up my options.
Does the colour of your new car match the bike?
Surprisingly - no . There are a few quirks in theV70 . I know , I have one !V70 surely, much easier for putting bikes in the back.
