Have you been Wordle-ing (no spoilers please)

My first attempt was underachievements but it said this was not acceptable. When I made it singular it said that was the longest word possible when clearly it isn’t.

Why isn’t it ok to add the ‘s’ to it?

Only thing I could think was they were not treating it as a noun but an action?

The word is an uncountable noun, or mass noun. It’s definition being “the fact of doing less well than expected”* rather than a specific, (and therefore countable) incidence of doing such.

If that makes sense 🤔.

Perhaps that should read 'one of my major lack of achievements...'.

I'm glad underachievement can't be counted. Or am I? Better a finite number of failures than a constant thread woven into the psyche made conscious since school and never leaving your side ever.
