Unless I've missed something it's exactly the same as waffle but with a worse colour scheme???

I've tried it a couple of times but won't bother again. Some of the correct answers are questionionable which for me takes away the fun of working it out.

*****?
*****?

I have looked them up. There's being challenged and then there's using words the compiler probably doesn't know.
I think it's worth persevering with. The mechanics are identical to the familiar Waffle, but the grids seem to be set up differently, and many of the words are weird. It needs a different approach.

The first time I tried it, I finished with 0 remaining, and for a while didn't think I was going to make it. The next four I've finished with 7, 7, 6 and 6 swaps remaining. Annoyingly my stats are classing these as 5s.

It's looking as though these puzzles are set up so that eight distinct pairs of letters have been exchanged. You'll never be able to work out what all the words are at the start, but if you can correctly predict where a letter should go, the letter going the other way should be correct also. After a few of those the fog starts to lift.

I haven't looked at today's yet and I'm trying to forget what may have been spoilers a few posts back.

ah you are correct I hadn't spotted the pairs thing. Therefore gives a slight edge then if there are say two Gs in the wrong place knowing which one to move into the first correct position, although I do often consider that on the "original" waffle, i.e. would it be better to swap it with this or that position etc, although with that one if often makes no odds.
