Struggled with a word that was almost too easy for me (not a hint, will explain later).

Just at the bottom of our garden is The Bourn, the watercourse that gave the name to Bournville of factory and dark chocolate fame. Although slightly closer in spelling is the Bourne Brook (also known as Bourn Brook), just down the road.
