I was off on a long holiday, bit of a hurry but needed some reading material so popped into our lovely local bookshop and asked them if they could choose me six books to take with me. They knew my tastes and I had no input on the selection. Worked a treat, every one a winner, and gave me the opportunity to enjoy writers I might otherwise have overlooked.
