I had a little gander in the dark at my lights on the bike friday evening and thought to myself that the newly installed mudguards were slightly obscuring part of the lights. So in an effort to increase my night visibility I decided to mount the lights on the pannier stays.

Its taken a lot of innertube to bulk it all out but I now have the LD610 on the right and the cheaper flashing cateye on the left. Must remember to take it carefully into work tomorrow just incase.

Must figure out a way to mount the blackburn mars 1 I bought a while back too. I might cable tie that blighter in somehow. Cateye and blackburn mounts aint the best for pannier racks though after this evenings playing.

I had trouble fitting the Fantom BLT but managed to find a way in the end.

I also notice where I bought the Dawes Audax 2007 (Winstanley Cycles) stocks those lights and the ones BM quoted in the Light comparison thread.

I think I can build my own brackets by drilling and shaping either plastic block or even wood. Just need to find suitable material to work with.

I've just done this on mine-normal bracket and cable tie seems pretty solid too, could be a bit neater but will see if it stays on 1st.Will put one on the left to even it up I think. Was on my panier but always looks like it will fall off only clipped on.
