I seem to have quite a bit of play in my head (no jokes please)

There doesn't seem to be any play when I test them side to side but there's definitley movement when I rock backwards and forwards.

Everything is done up nicely, and the bike (hybrid) isnt that old, so is this usual or should I get them looked at

There's no play in my road bike head hence the question

do you have suspension forks? test again by lifting the fonrt wheel off the ground and one hand holding the head tube, try to rock the forks, if there is play, then it is the headset that needs to be adjusted.

nope no suspension, sounds like they do need adjusting as that is exactly what Ive been doing

so play in one direction only - what if you point forks sideways and test?
