And what the hell are those cars where the headlamp cant stay on at the same time as an indicator; how on earth can that be a good idea?
Or was it just an olde fashioned earth fault?

No, this is apparently how some cars work now, and worse than that, some cars seem to forgo the flashing front amber indication entirely, leaving the absence of a headlamp being considered an indication.

Clearly they have magical headlights when they never go wrong

design does seem to be coming more from marketing people with degrees in anthropology with a specialism in travel and hospitality

No washers on our LED equipped VW.

None on my Xenon van but they are behind a projector lens and the main lamp lens. The cut off is quite precise and I've five different manual levelling settings (not automatic).

It's supposed to be adaptive but I've not been anywhere yet where the main beams have come on.

At least I can get replacement bulbs, although about £80, they aren't LED £££'s

Like has been said dazzling gets worse the smaller the reflector is, and car LED's are the same size as a bike light now, but with a load of 'bulbs' (chips I know).

The replacement cost is astronomical. It's why you see so many cars with faulty LED's in rear lights. It's not a £5 bulb anymore.
