Ice tyres already on the MTB, and I've been testing them for Strava performance, got two off road KOMs though in mud. Ice should be much faster.

I quite like it when the weather drops close to zero, from about 5-6 deg. I know what colthes to wear instead of arsing about with "should I shouldn't I" full winter stuff.
