Yep, although his output since then is very different and he does distance himself from his earlier work. Fancy Planets CD is probably the closest to his earlier days.

Real good guitarist. might check out the CD once I can get to the shops someone told me years ago he'd gone "Ambient" which I wasn't keen on then but maybe now, wasn't keen on John Martyns later stuff for the same reason my tastes having gone folk for a long time.
