Nice. Longers and I went under some nice viaducts last weekend. You don't get many impressive bridges or viaducts in this part of the world.

Oh, and while on my bike the other day, I stumbled across this-

Built by Thomas Telford in 1829, and at the time was the highest span of its type in the world.

From the road it just looks like a normal bridge and you'd completely miss it.

You must have been under the rail bridge when you took that Mr P. I go across it every day and it stil delights me. Just a bit further on is Brindley's less successful Summit tunnel.

Some great locations around there when you scratch beneath the surface.

I think approaching Brum from the south is defintely a bit more scenic than from the north... I certainly wouldn't fancy the canal approach under Spaghetti......!!!
