Any recommendations?

I'd like one that tells me how hard I'm working (on my bike!!). Would be better not to have the band round the chest, too faffy, and I'm not fussed about uploading the info to a PC. Just something to tell me eg "you're going full pelt my son".

I suppose it would be good if it were bike comp built in but again I like my current bike comp (Spesh, turbo elite with cadence doodaa) so not essential.

I've just bought the one out of LIDL which does everything you want and a lot more. Tells you how many callories you've burned etc. They're only £20 in LIDL right now, go grab one :0)

Has the strap though, I think they all do.

I've got a friend who's pretty happy with his £15ish one from Decathlon.

if you really just want heart rate go with the cheapest polar. I think the chest straps are meant to be more accurate (but I may just be a victim of the marketing)
