Heart rate monitors are they useful? Do they help with your cycling? Are they worth buying?

worth buying if you are looking to train for an event or race. Some of them out there are great with so many features.

There is a good article in this months ‘Cycling Plus’ on heart rate monitors. Plus a review of certain models.

I’ll also add I’ve been using heart rate monitors for a few years now and find them a great motivational/training tool.

I only use mine on the turbo trainer and find it great.

mine keeps telling me to slow down so I ignore it...stoopid I know but I'm just getting used to it

They are a good toy but once you've used a Garmin Edge they seem a bit yesterday's technology.
