Have fun , me and Mrs CK were saying we are leaning more towards an apartment, chalet etc now as we get older .She prefers a bit more room in the bathroom rather than the caravan shower with her balance issues.

At least you can't fall far in a static (we used to have one). You can fall over holes in the ground in the mist at night on a campsite (as my wife did). Weather looking warmer as this week goes on, so hope you catch some of it.

Top tip - if it has central heating, get it to come on for 30 minutes every couple of hours depending on the boiler controls, or, if there are oil filled radiators available, pop one in the hallway outside the bedrooms - keeps the chill off. Remember, you have paid for it, so use it.

I'm in Japan just now and the temp was about 35c in Osaka but when I went to Tokyo earlier this week, it was a face melting 39c.

Stepping off the Shinkansen was like stepping into an oven.

In a caravan ATM so chilly at night , single figures the last 2 nights so I have figured how to get the heating on as the kids are complaining, pfft they haven't had to wake up with ice on the inside of house windows and the coal fire having gone out .
