The green Telephone thingy box will all the wires in across the road blew up yesterday! I was out at work so i missed it all but according to reports about 6.15 pm there was an almighty bang and its doors blew off hitting parked cars across the road. Then flames were seen shooting out as well as it making a roaring noise. The police arrived and cordoned off the area telling people to stay indoors. The United Utilities blokes worked through the night to restore power to the homes across the road. Apparently the box overheated in the warm temperatures.

Seems Phoenix had over a month of 40+ temperatures just 2 years ago.

A pleasant 20C here, it staying warm and dry for the next fortnight.

In a caravan ATM so chilly at night , single figures the last 2 nights so I have figured how to get the heating on as the kids are complaining, pfft they haven't had to wake up with ice on the inside of house windows and the coal fire having gone out .

Gets a bit nippy in a tent at night. Got at least 10 nights under canvas or the van's roof coming up soon. We do leccy hookup at some sites, so on goes the fan heater.

Have fun , me and Mrs CK were saying we are leaning more towards an apartment, chalet etc now as we get older .She prefers a bit more room in the bathroom rather than the caravan shower with her balance issues.
