He clearly remembered at the last minute that he didn't spec the flame retardant paint option when he bought the car.

Some car drivers clearly don't have a braincell. Dr Mengele could be on the middle of the road performing hideous medical experiments and some tosser would still look to drive around it somehow rather than divert.
