The department of Mayenne lies south of Lower Normandie, east of Brittany & north of the Loire....good cycling here. The French like to claim having invented mayo but seems it has Spanish origin.

Yes it is. Been there a few times and to be honest, I miss my house there but sometimes hard decisions have to be made!

How I envy you for those lovely smooth roads, that weather, that food and the respectful French drivers! It must be wonderful to cruise out a few kms, stop at a cafe for a coffee and a croissant and a bit of banter with the locals then cruise on admiring the scenery.

We can do that here but we have potholes and crap weather.
