seriously well done sir hat's off to you.

they are schwalbe city jets and they do a 26/1.50 but like i say does it depend on my rims..cheers,,dean,one thing i will ask though phil..i bought 26/1.95 the same has the off road tyres!..what could i go down to?..cus i think ide like a slimmer tyre,,or does that depend on my rims?,,cheers..dean.

Yes you can go down to thinner tyres. I believe slicks are available as narrow as 1 inch (25mm) for 26" wheels (about the same width as pro racers currently ride). I'd suggest 1.5 inch would be narrow enough though.
The rim width does matter. This chart (link) shows what rim will take what width tyre. The size may be on a label or stamped into the rim, usually in the format 559x??. If not you need to measure the rim as shown in the article.[oh ok nice one ive only had them on the bike for three weeks now but maybe in a few months time ide swap em for a thinner tyre!..thanks for the advice phil..cheers...dean...
