Hey,

Old member coming back. Been off the bike for over a year owing to depression, slowly gained weight and I'm back up to my heaviest of 16st3 so time to get off my arse and lose it. I closed my youtube channel and twitter and just forgot about the bike in the shed. Bought a motorbike as well

Went out on Monday and did 17 miles, longest I've ever done (including when I was riding regularly to college etc) and felt like I was dying. Only up from here though... right?

I took cycling back up after years of ill health including depression.
I'm slowly losing the weight and building the miles up...and I treated myself to a new bike.
Welcome 'home'

Yeah, it's bloody awful. Oddly enough after years of counselling that didn't work I tried anti-depressants and while I don't want to be on them long term, I feel much better which is what's got me back in the saddle.

Welcome back. Enjoy the forum

Cheers

Hi and welcome , glad your feeling better,( Oooo what motorbike? I've a Yam R46 limited Edition) and back in the saddle.

At the moment I'm on a YBR125 but I've got my mod 1 test booked for my A2 licence soon. Only been on it 2 months and sick of going so slowly  Tops out at 65 indicated, I'm guessing closer to 60 actual.

Hej, tack!

At the moment I'm on a Carrera Virtuoso - a road bike from halfords but thankfully I've upgraded it so it's not as crap as it was

Nope, sorry, English but know bits of Danish/Swedish. Been to Denmark 7 times and Sweden twice so you pick it up as you go I suppose.

At the moment I've upgrade the tyres (marathon + 700x25) and wheels, which are a pair of light touring wheels that are handbuilts. Can't recall the specifics at the mo although they're on tiagra hubs and roll so quietly. Much better than the originals. Done the other bits as well as bar tape, clipless pedals etc. Not a bad bike actually.

Cheers to all anyway, appreciate it :hello:
