Hello. Beginner from Kent here.

Hello to follow road warriors (and to those who like the mucky stuff.) My name is Matt, I'm 33 and I live in Maidstone, Kent.

I've started cycling over the past couple of years on and off, mainly fair-weather riding. This year has seen me take it more seriously, with the main goal of fitness and losing some timber.

My trusty steed is a hybrid Specialised Hardrock Sport, which I'm adding onto as time goes on. (Pic to follow!)

I did London to Brighton this year, my first "proper" ride in 4:25 and recently did London to Southend in 3:44, stock pedals.

I'm hoping to find a kindred spirit not too far from me to go for and occasional trip out at a respectable pace for a beginner.

Matt, welcome to the forum, Im from sittingbourne and there are quite a few more from Kent,
I think 4.25 L2B is a good time, well done, I was there too this year for the first time (4.45).

There two places that spring to mind are Bewl Water and Bedgebury. You will need to drive there but they are really good for MTB.
