many thanks for all the great info ,i think the frame itself is around the 1960/early 70's just going off the detail thats on it,the headtube badge transfer looks a lot older style than 80's,i may just stick this one on ebay i think

You're absolutely right, I didn't look hard enough. It must have had a refit at some point judging by the mech.

Information on Merlin Racing Cycles

I have a Merlin frame that I purchased in 1978 and still ride. Its a Reynolds 531 steel frame. It was built in England by Bob Jackson:

I still can't see the piccies. I used to have a vintage Merlin so would be interested to see this one. Merlin was bought out by Bob Jackson and Bob Jackson let the brand lapse after a while.

I don't think Merlin built in titanium.
