Hi and :welcome: Richie.

Glad you're enjoying the cycling.

You might find the classic & vintage section a good place for info specific to the Raleigh Banana as there are a lot of knowledgable and helpful people who post in there.

Keep us posted with how you get on.^_^
Thanks for your suggestion Phil, just had a quick look about on there and its got some fine postings. Will put up some photos of my bikes and the Banana resto as soon as i,m able to.Thanks again

Hi and thanks for your message, everyone seems so friendly on here. To answer your question, yes i do hope to go with the original colour scheme or as close as possible, maybe someone on here will be able to tell me if there are original paint codes that i could use.One of the dilemas i,m facing is do i have the frame spray painted or powder coated. I have done a little research and both methods have advantages/disadvantages,i,m also led to believe that replacement transfers don,t take well to powder coat so i have some thinking to do.If anyone has any suggestions feel free to message me.Thanks again and keep the wheels turning.

Hi Richard. I know someone here who may be able to help you. He is @rbreid I have just tagged him and he will be along shortly. He will be able to give you some useful pointers.

Hi Richard, Welcome to insanity cycling, great to see you are interested in all aspects from tinkering to wheelbuilding to rebuilds. Had a lifetime of pleasure in the trade and as a hobby. Hope you like it here. On frame Decals, quality decals from H Lloyd if applied following his supplied instructions will adhere as well to powder coat as lacquer or enamel. The problem only occurs with cheap(sometimes not to the customer) heavy vinyl decals.
