Hello from an ex lurker

Hello. Been lurking for quite a while on CycleChat, and thought it about time I joined in.

I live and work in Sussex and commute around 16 miles daily which I've been doing for the last eight years. My current bikes are a specialized sirrus (great) and a Carrera Gryphon (not so great).

Due to the combined effects of falling income and rising prices I'm planning to do more bike maintenance at home and will doubtless be seeking lots of advice as I'm not the most practical of people!

I only started cycling to work last March so like you I had a lot of learning to do. I've found the chaps on here (especially in the beginners section for basic questions) have been very helpful and friendly.
