I cycle past that way regularly. My early morning ride often goes from here and loops out that way. Say hello if you see an orange Ribble gravel bike!

From Handsworth Wood, I occasionally drop into The Midland pub in Bearwood, when its open. If you see a grumpy old fart riding a Thorn Club Tour in racing green that will be me.

Will do! I've not been in the Midland since I moved here (from Glasgow). I think we may have had a very brief chat on the stairs down to the canal near Summerhill Park a few years back but the person I'm thinking of definitely wasn't grumpy!
Great name - there was a band in Glasgow in the late 1980s called "Hugh Reed and the Velvet Underpants".
