Hello from Cardiff

Hi all

I joined the forum yesturday so thought I'd introduce myself....I'm Lex , I'm 22 from Cardiff and I got my first road bike in Sept 2010.

It is a very basic road bike - it has the gear shifters on the handlebars, has single pivot brakes and is a hefty 13kg!!

Despite this, the bike has made me fall in love with road cycling! I'm now addicted to the sport and plan on eventually competing!

I am looking to upgrade now as I have signed to do my first sportive in July 2011, the Iron Mountain 100 miles! So I have my eye on the Specialized Dolce Sport 27 2010, its a bargain I think for £480 at the moment!!

If your enjoying a 13 kg bike you will fly on a lightweight one.

Tredz on Penarth road have got a Cannondale Caad 8 for £520 at the moment.

good luck on the sportive, I did my first one last year, the Merlin 104 miler in carmarthenshire.
