Hi Lee, and firstly let me congratulate you on a great choice of bike!
Bought my subway2 about 2 years ago for work (teaching small people not to get squashed on the roads) and with a few changes (hydro brakes, carbon bars, triple chainring, BG Avatar saddle) have done the C2C, Coast and Castles, and many, many weekend 60+mile rides. They're bombproof!
As for C2C, just build up to it, and make sure you get a good backup team. Anytime you want to go for a pedal, let me know.

Sorry, but you're making us sound like Marmite there.....I prefer Woolybacks for west Durham, and Pit-yakkers for east Durham. I'm a Woolyback by origin
