Hello everyone,

Got my first road bike a couple of months ago so thought I would sign up to make the most of all your expertise. Would also be interested in recommendations for cycling clubs in the Orpington/Kent/SE London area.

Welcome. Although not a club as such, there is a regular Sunday ride that has a meeting point at the Dripping Tap in Bromley. See the thread in Informal Rides (sorry can't link from my phone)

Howdo Clarkey. Welcome aboard. There are a good few of us in your area if you fancy a social ride some time. Keep an eye out for anything with "Bromley Massive" in the thread and you'll be sure to find an Orpington local.

Hi and welcome to Cycle Chat.
What type of Cycling Club are you looking for?

For road racing there is Avanti
For more leisurly rides there's the Bromley and Lewisham Cyclists groups.

If you are a member of the CTC there is the West Kent CTC who organise rides.

And as Martin mentions above there is the regular Sunday morning Cycle Chat ride from The Dripping Tap (A Plumbers not a pub) on Masons Hill Bromley.
We meet there at 8.30am and head to Hyde Park corner at a brisk pace to meet others then on to somewhere for coffee/tea/cake at a more leisurely pace.

As you can see from my sig I'm another Orpington-ite.

Hi Clarkey, There is also Redhill CC with lots for everyone but it may be a bit out of your local area.
