Hey everyone!

I have recently acquired what I have been told is a good mountain bike from my father.

I'm 25 years old and have gotten a little unfit as of late so intend on getting back in shape.

I work in Middlesbrough as an electrical engineer but I'm living in Stockton right now. We have a load of bike tracks etc near where I live but I intent on commuting daily to work as well as socially riding

First ride tomorrow after work!

What I want to know is, how do I track my routes using my iPhone?

Looking forward to meeting everyone!!

:welcome: lee.

I don't know about tracking routes on the iPhone, but there might be something about it in the Know How section of the site. If not, that's a good place to ask.

Hiya mate, not sure about iphone (I'm on Android) but I use an app called 'Map my Ride'. There's a free version which pretty much did everything I wanted it to, distance, total time, average speed and it uses your phones GPS to track the route you rode. You can post results to Facebook if you want to but I don't bother personally or you can add buddies through the app somehow to share times and routes etc but not properly looked into that yet either.

Hope it's available on iphone and is useful to ya.

Edit: For your consideration... http://www.mapmyride.com/app/iphone/

Thanks, mfc1876 (good name btw ;)) - I downloaded that app to my iPhone and i'll give it a go later on this evening. The route planner looks awesome though.

I seen that it has a route planner. Again I've only messed on with that once but I guess it's good for if you want to do a certain amount of miles, you can pre plan a route to see if it's far enough. I don't think I've really used the app to it's full potential, I'm just happy with what I get from it now at the moment.
