Hello from North Essex

Hello all from sunny North Essex (actually it's not that sunny at the moment)

Thought I'd start by introducing myself here rather than just loitering. I'm Matt, 29 and I used to ride a bike all the time about 5 or 6 years ago, but then I passed my driving test....

Gave up smoking a couple of years back and am now fed up of being unfit, out of breath and not to keen on the spare tire I'm developing. Got myself a new bike recently and I'm now doing the commute to work (7 miles) and some leisure cycling at the weekend (clocked up 15 miles today).

So far so good!

Thanks, yes it sure is. I was just thinking this morning while out on my bike ride how fantastic the countryside is around here. When you're cycling you really get to appreciate it. We're really lucky in this country but I think a lot of us just don't realize it.

Next time I go out I'm gonna take the camera.
