My name's JT and I'm a long time member of Y/ACF but getting a little bit tired of that place where I ignore more boards than I read, so I thought I'd try my luck here for a bit. It certainly seems to be more cycling oriented.

I own 3 bikes and don't ride any of them nearly enough: a Specialized Roubaix Expert, Surly Long Haul Trucker and a cheap Mission Space Invader folder.

I'm originally from Corby and rode to Peterborough (via Oundle) and back when I was about 17. I had no idea where I was going or how long it would take and I'd taken little in the way of provisions or cash.
Although my bike was a bit rubbish and not used to anymore than a 5 mile trip, it lasted the ~50 mile trip with only the chain snapping about a mile from home.. Ah happy days
