Hi, new to here. Stumbled upon the forum via google search for hints and tips on training for Ventoux, which I'm planning on doing in July 2012. Eeeek.

Relatively new to cycling, in the wider sense, having only properly engaged with the sport in the last two years. Safe to say I'm hooked. Started off as a flat, city cyclist but have lost 2 3/4 stone in weight over the last 8 months and am now training for more hilly terrain. Which, as it happens, is so much more exciting riding than on the flat. Ideally have another 2 stone to lose before Ventoux, so I'm waiting for the snow to clear to get a full training schedule underway.
