There is nothing wrong with that. There are 2 things you should learn to make your cycling life easier.

How to fix a puncture or change an innertube. Plenty of clips on YouTube.

How to clean a drivetrain. Do it weekly in winter.

Hi. Hopefully you at least know which way up the bicycle has to be for best results :-)

Welcome to the asylum without walls.

Keep it simple.
Don't ask about how to clean and care for your chain. Life is too short.

Like most of my bike I don't understand how this site works, but I still enjoy most of it.
Maybe cycling is an allegory for life or is it analogue?

Based on this offering common sense says don't post before your first coffee or after your last drink.

@kanzkardiotone welcome, I hope you haven't found your way to cycle chat to find out about yachts?
Because you could be disappointed if you ever come back

Loving all the responses. I am feeling quite welcome. If I learnt anything about my bike it would prevent my partner from feeling important and stop my meager contributions to bike stores. My ignorance remains intact!!
I do know the tyres remain on the ground and I know to go left, right, or straight ahead as I'm also useless with cardinal point directions. Hence my frustration with any GPS instructions that say "go north west for ten miles then turn left"
