Been out today for a wet 20km on the Vision because it had mudguards. Not massively harder work than the Bianchi, but the brakes are nowhere near as good. I have also got used to modern gears. The biggest difference is the cleats. I use toe-clips and flat-soled shoes on the old bikes and Shimano SL on the Bianchi. I have to say I felt less secure on the Vision as my feet were slipping about in a way I have been used to for years, but now seems alarming having got used to the superior connection and drive of the modern bike. Not trying to stir up controversy - just how I saw it.
