Hi everyone
I've only just Stumbled across this site so I thought I'd sign up.
I'm from Stafford and I use to be very into cycling as a late teen, had a couple of seasons road racing. Unfortunatly I then got a job which meant I had loads more spare cash, this lead to nights out, cars, beer and women so the cycling fell by the wayside. I have now got the cycling bug back in a big way after a 12 year's off. This was partly due to the fact that I was getting very fat. My brother gave me one of his winter bikes for me to use about 18 months ago and I haven't looked back. I've since lost nearly 5.5 stone going from around 19 stone to just over 13.5 stone.
I treated myself to a new summer bike this year and now ride a specialized S Works Venge which is a great bike. I'm loving cycling more now than when I was doing it all those years ago. My biggest achievements since coming back are the weight loss, riding the tour of Flanders sportif this march (all 244km) and doing a 2 up 10 TT with my brother in 22 minutes.
