Hi I am new to this forum LOL. I am from the Kent area. I am going green:tongue: so I have decided to start cycling to work about 5-6 miles up and down quite a few hills so it will be good to keep me fit and also because petrol is so damned expensive.

Since I haven't ridden properly for a good 3 or 4 or 5 years I am going to start easing myself back into cycling.

Once I am more confident in cycling and back on track I intend to start at one end of the North Downs Trial and cycle to the other end, then cycle back home all under 24 hours.

I also intend to cycle to Germany and back for charity and also to see my dad who lives there.

hello, sounds as if you have a plan

Nothing like a goal to spur you on!!

Which part of Germany - out of interest? In any event it's a long way but the route should take you thro the territory of the classics - Artois, Flanders, the Ardennes. And of course a very cycling friendly local populace in each case. Suggest you take a couple of mars bars in back pocket - you may just need them.
