Sorry, for some reason I find it harder to get round to posting at the moment! Probably due to the fact that I'm hardly riding so I feel a bit of a fraud!!!
However we did do a bike ride on Saturday. Drove over the GGB (smaller than the humber) to Sausalito, had lunch, got the ferry over to San Francisco with all the other cyclists (about 100). Cycled along the bayfront towards the Golden Gate bridge in the sunshine. Arthur was singing in his trailer, the sun shone, the birds sang....the fog came down.
By the time we reached the bridge there was literally minimal visibility. It was freezing cold (we were in summer clothes), it was wet, dank and noisy. Arthur screamed the entire way across. The fog was so bad you couldn't see anything over the side of the bridge. I was bricking it that there would be an earethquake because I realised I would very much like to see where I was falling if it was to be my time to die. However there was no earthquake, we made it safely to the other side of the bridge where the fog miraculously cleared, the sun shone, Arthur stopped screaming and we were glad to touch dry ground!!! Darn it, we'll need to do it again some time for the photos!!!
I've tried to include some entertaingly grey photos...but am not able. Any advice?
It did feel brilliant to be back on the bike after about 2 months!! Magic again.
